Martha King is a performer and performance maker based in Bristol; working both as a solo maker and collaborator. She predominately creates movement based work, often responding to a given site. Martha is a member of Interval (an artist led support network that share rehearsal and office space at the Parlour Upstairs, 31 College Green, http://www.interval-bristol.org.uk/about). The Parlour Upstairs studios have been made possible by Capacity Bristol (http://capacitybristol.wordpress.com/) Martha is also a member of The Showroom Projects Ltd who manage The Parlour Showrooms, a fine art and performance venue in the empty shops below The Parlour. www.parlourshowrooms.co.uk The Showroom Projects are currently producing a 6 month program of performance and talks funded by ACE: inthecityseries.co.uk
